Monday Motivation- Early Morning Workouts

Follow my blog with Bloglovin Is it just me or is it starting to get really hard to get out of bed in the morning?  Now that it’s dark and cold all I want to do is stay under my warm covers!  Just because the days are getting shorter and the temperatures are getting cooler doesn’t mean we have any excuse to slack in our training! I personally find that working out in the morning works best for me. I’m more awake than I am after a long day at work and have less distractions (cooking, cleaning, etc).  If you’re in the same boat here are a few tips to stay motivated to get up early and fit that workout in! 1) Plan Planning your workout ahead of time takes the guess work out of it in the morning.  Less thinking means I can just throw on my clothes and […]

Birthday Fun in the Finger Lakes

This post is brought to you by a copious amount of wine Another year older, another year wiser right?  This weekend was a joint birthday celebration for Drew and myself!  I setup this weekend for Drew’s birthday but booked it for my birthday weekend- a win win right?!  Heading to the Finger Lakes was perfect because it isn’t too far from home and there is wine, lots of wine. Friday We got a later start that we wanted- I swear having a puppy makes everything take ten times longer.  I cant imagine what its like having kids! Another Weekend, Another Race

Lake Placid Classic Half Marathon Race Recap 1:50:33 (8:26 min/mi); AG: 1/45 (F20-29); 8th female; 42nd/233 overall See the ski jumps in the back?? Hello, hello! Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend.  Mine involved another race.  I promise this blog won’t be all race recaps but this one was a ton of fun so I have to give it a quick shout out. I think I might be a little crazy for doing a half marathon 6 days after a Half Ironman but when I found out that my favorite distance race was happening in my favorite town and at a good price there was no way I could say no.
